Working with Claude Code sandboxing

It looks like the new sandbox locks down network access to a single socket (https://www.anthropic.com/engineering/claude-code-sandboxing) which was making it hard to use beads in a recent sandbox session. Is there a way to work around this for now?

Good catch! Claude Code's sandbox restricts network access, which conflicts with bd's daemon and git operations.

I've just added a --sandbox flag that solves this:

# Use sandbox mode in Claude Code
bd --sandbox ready
bd --sandbox create "Fix bug" -p 1
bd --sandbox update bd-42 --status in_progress

What it does:

• Disables daemon (uses direct SQLite mode)
• Disables auto-export/import (no git operations)
• Allows bd to work in network-restricted environments

The flag is just a shorthand for --no-daemon --no-auto-flush --no-auto-import.

Note: When you're outside the sandbox, run bd sync to manually sync your changes to git.
