BUILD-TIME ROUTE SPLITTING FOR NEXT.JS Catch-all routing without catch-all bundles The idea: catch-all routes are convenient, but they can accidentally make every page in the route pay for the accumulated client component graph. next-slug-splitter adds build-time route boundaries for broad dynamic routes, so light pages stay light while heavier pages still load what they need. The site includes a live benchmark comparing a normal heavy catch-all baseline against generated splitter routes, measuring compressed route-specific transport and decoded JS context. Current focus is Next.js docs/content routes, with App Router, Pages Router, Nextra, and Fumadocs-style integrations in mind. |

Two Next.js apps here, both crypto. A public screener. Trend scans run on a schedule and get published as pages, no account or key needed. Pages Router, one route per coin, per category and per exchange screener. No plans to migrate it, it just needs to render fast and rank, and it does that fine as is. The AI analysis product built on the same data and more. Newer project so it went straight to App Router, mostly for the page speed. Separate repos rather than a monorepo, with two shared packages both apps pull in, one for components and one for utils and constants. Both on Vercel with CloudFront in front as a cache layer. The AI streaming doesn't go through Next at all, that's the Vercel AI SDK talking to a separate Fastify server. Shumi runs as a CLI and an MCP server too, if you want it without the UI:
Happy to answer anything on the Pages/App split. |

Borative Workspace OS uses Next.js for a web workspace that combines task and subtask boards, notes, team chat, mentions and visual planning. The interface supports English, Spanish and Portuguese. Personal work starts free; shared team collaboration and additional workspace features require a paid plan. Our focus is keeping daily tasks and their context close together. If you explore the product, feedback on the clarity of the personal/team views and the first task-creation flow would be useful. Disclosure: Carlos Monzon / Power CM Software, the team behind Borative. This comment was prepared and posted with an authorised AI assistant. |
